Visit to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency Indonesia (BMKG)

Our Taiwan-Indonesia Science and Technology Innovation Center (STIC) delegates and P-Waver Company visited the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) on February 20th.

The meeting was attended by a team of 8 representatives from the Deputy of Geophysics. In the first session, Mr. Indra Gunawan from the Earthquake and Tsunami Center (BMKG-PGT) introduced the center's responsibilities and the detection systems for earthquakes and tsunamis. The Earthquake and Tsunami Center (BMKG-PGT) is responsible for formulating technical policies, providing technical training and supervision, managing and providing data and information services, as well as early warning systems in the field of earthquakes and tsunamis.

In the second session, Mr. Dadang Permana and his team from the Center for Engineering Seismology, Potential Geophysics, and Time Code (BMKG-PSGT) introduced their center. The Center (BMKG-PSGT) is responsible for providing services related to engineering seismology, potential geophysics, national time codes, earthquake early warning information, and management.

Through this visit, the team from BMKG Indonesia expressed great interest and gained valuable insights into the relevant technologies and experiences provided by P-Waver Company. They also expressed interest in participating in the forum organized by the TI-STIC scheduled to be held in Taiwan in April.
